It's Week #9 over at Perfect Sentiments blog and this week it's "ANYTHING GOES!!" For this challenge, each of the design team members creates a card and you pick one to case and then post it to the Perfect Sentiments Challenge Blog! This weeks challenge is being sponsored by The Digital Emporium of Paper Expressions. The winner will get their choice of three digital images that are shown on that page .
It's that time of the year again....the time when card makers remove all clocks from their homes, turn on their music, free their minds of any distractions from life and make their Christmas cards! I've got more Christmas stamps than I need but they are all so wonderful, I just must have them!
When I saw this tree, it reminded me of many of the trees in Maine during the winter time that have shed their leaves. What do you do when you have a naked tree you might ask....."You make it a Christmas sparkly tree of course!"
This was so simple to make with the round image in the center of the card which measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I added a little distressing ink to the image because I love me some distressing! The base is a deep green scrap piece of Bazzill paper, I stamped a little WalzingMouse trim on the top and bottom of this. I layered the top image on a piece of burgundy cardstock and then a scrap piece of a lighter green. The "Merry Christmas" stamp is also from WaltzingMouse, this is stamped on a Nesties die cut. Add a little dark brown sheer ribbon and into the box for my "Maine Mom" this goes!
Hope you enjoy! Until next time.
